POWER TO THE PARKS
    07/27/201908/03/2019

Subliminal Projects is pleased to present Power to the Parks, a week-long fundraising group exhibition, to benefit National Parks Conservation  Association (NPCA), in collaboration with Parks Project and our design agency Studio Number One (SNO). The history of the National Parks dates back to the late 1800s, with the United States fostering the first legislative effort to preserve Yellowstone National Park as federal land, “for the benefit and enjoyment of the people,” inspiring a worldwide National Park movement. Through art and discussion, this exhibition aims to help generate support, educate, and ignite participation from today’s generation for our National Parks.

The exhibition coincides with the launch of a product capsule designed by Studio Number One and distributed by Parks Project. The 3-piece Power to the Parks summer collection includes a unisex t-shirt, a tote bag, and custom 32 oz. Nalgene water bottle, all showcasing original graphics designed by SNO. This series expresses the political energy of the ‘60s and ‘70s, and SNO’s passion for national parks preservation. The visuals convey a sense of curiosity about the natural beauty of our lands and echo an era when impassioned Americans rallied together for change and justice. In conjunction with the opening reception, products from this capsule will be available at Subliminal Projects, along with the release of a limited edition print also designed by Studio Number One. A portion of the proceeds from the art sales will benefit the NPCA in their efforts to protect and preserve our nation’s most iconic and inspirational places for present and future generations.
