Subliminal Projects is pleased to bring American Civics to Los Angeles, featuring the first-ever collaboration between our founder Shepard Fairey the estate of legendary photographer Jim Marshall. The exhibit will feature Fairey’s interpretation of Marshall’s iconic photography from the 1960’s with mixed media paintings on canvas, large format serigraphs, handcut rubyliths, works on wood and metal, as well as Jim Marshall’s original photography. This show portrays the humanity behind some of this country’s enduring social justice issues: Voting Rights, Mass Incarceration, Worker’s Rights, Gun Culture, and Two Americas. A portion of the proceeds from this collaboration will go to the following charitable partners: NAACP, No Kid Hungry, UFW Foundation, Caliber Foundation, and Cut 50. Please join us Friday, January 20th from 8pm-11pm for the opening reception. Please send all inquires to firstname.lastname@example.org. See you at Subliminal!
