Ayanah Moor is a conceptual artist whose work addresses gender, racial and sexual identity through the lens of popular culture. A featured Ebony article on woman dating men from the 1980s provides the inspiration for Moor’s recent installation, Good News. She re-positions the subject of the essay to highlight what it would be like to read remarks by women speaking about the women they desire. Through this use of creative wordplay, Moor offers an alternative commentary on site, desire and eligibility.
